Video Card

Present graphics card drivers status makes ATI graphics cards like my X800 unusable for Triplehead2go, (this is an ATI issue, not Matrox issue). So I had to change my graphics card (initially i had a ATI X800)

Because my Motherboard does not have PCI-E, I wanted to stick to AGP (my  simulator pc is Fast enough with an Athlon 64-4000+ and is approx 1 yr old).  I bought the fastest High-End AGP graphics card possible: Gainward's  BLISS 7800GS 512MB Golden Sample+.

Considering that the GeForce 7800 GS AGP is basically an insult on a PCB, the pressure has really been on AGP gamers to make the switch to PCI Express. This pressure has been exerted somewhat unfairly, as the Gainward clearly shows that there is no good technological reason for not making a very fast AGP card. Excellent initiative of Gainward for finally sticking up for the AGP users. If you have a top-end AGP system that you really want to hang on to then the Gainward is a great buy, as it's without doubt, the best AGP graphics card ever made.

A 256-bit memory interface and fast GDDR3 memory enable blazing graphics performance with the quality set to max so you don’t have to choose between frame rates and image quality. Need a break from gaming? The GeForce 7900 GPU also delivers smooth, high-definition video playback and crisp picture quality thanks to its advanced NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology. If you are searching for an extreme HD gaming and video experience on the PC, look no further than a Geforce 7900 GPU. This is a one production run of 7900 GT's made available for AGP users making these truly the quickest AGP cards ever produced and extremely overclockable with 500MHz core speed easily achievable along with 1400MHz memory speed when overclocking.

Gainward do it again! This is the only 7900GT card with 24 pixel pipelines available on AGP. Then along with its 512MB of super-fast GDDR3 memory making this the worlds fastest AGP card ever produced. There is only 1500 units available worldwide!! So be quick as this is a deal not to be missed!

The media did not take long to crown the Gainward BLISS 7800 GS Silent 512MB AGP a wolf in sheep's clothing. The card may be branded as a 7800GS, but it is in truth sporting a full 7800GT chip. This is the main reason why the Gainward AGP card outdoes every competitor - and certainly any we have had the pleasure of testing.

When you invest in a new graphics card, performance is not everything. You have to look at the cooling solution and the sound level of the card, along with the overall quality. This is where the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer starts to shine and keeps the card cool and the sound level low. Our overclocking results speaks for themselves: 1440MHz effectively for the RAM is impressive and 505MHZ for the core is almost 35 per cent more than any other 7800GS card we have tested. We stress tested the card for hours, and it never complained once.
